Someone better alert the brass behind Desert Trip that they have some stiff competition this summer.
In an exclusive to Billboard, the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac are set to headline two New York and Los Angeles-based festivals slated for this July that will be dubbed Classic East and Classic West. Classic East will take place at Citi Field, while Classic West will take place at Dodgers Stadium.
Each Classic installment will be a two-day festival. So far, no other acts have been confirmed, but considering the festival’s name and the acts already confirmed, we have a hunch that more big artists set to join the bills will come down the pike soon.
The Classic festivals will also mark the first concert performances by the Eagles since the passing of Glenn Frey. Their only other public performance was with Jackson Browne during the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards in February 2016.
Speaking of Jackson Browne, he’d be a great addition to the bill! Who else would you like to see perform at Classic East and Classic West? Let us know in the comments!
