FOOTBALL OFFICE POOL UPDATE:

Thanks again for playing in JJ & Lynne's Football Office Pool.  Week 16 is now scored. Don't forget to make your picks for Week 17.

In Week 16, our Detroit Lions got an early Christmas present as they barely edged out the Chiefs for their 7th win of the season.  Sadly it is too little too late as their playoff hopes were lost a couple weeks ago.  All the same, a win is a win.  Other happenings in Week 16 saw Jacksonville beat Oakland as the Jaguars are gearing up for the playoffs.  The Patriots beat up the Miami Dolphins as they come one step closer to an undefeated season, and with only one week left it seems to be inevitable. The Colts took down Houston, and in a shocker the Bears beat up on the Packers though that does nothing in the way of getting the Bears into the playoffs or keep the Packers out.

With Week 16 out of the way, we are now entering the final week of the NFL regular season and there are quite a few good match ups in Week 17.  Many teams rest their players for the playoffs, but with a few question marks on who is in the playoffs and who isn't, along an NFL record to be broken, there should be some good games.  First up, the Patriots go for the undefeated regular season record against the Giants in what could shape up to be a good game.  The Titans are facing the Colts in a must win for Tennessee in order for them to get into the playoffs, the real question being how many of the starters the Colts will play in this game.  Another team who is likely pulling for the Colts are the Cleveland Browns, who need a Titans loss in order to get into the playoffs.  The Browns are taking on the 49ers while they are rooting for the Colts.  And finally, our beloved Detroit Lions travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers in a game that will see Favre start to continue his consecutive starts streak, but most likely will not see him play after halftime, or maybe even the first quarter.

Here at the station we are anxiously heading into Week 17.  JJ still holds the top spot overall as he put a great week of 12-4 and has extended his lead to 4 games over Kenny and Lynne who are both locked up in 2nd place overall.  However Week 16 saw Jim O'Brien put up one of the strongest weeks of the season as he posted a 14-2 record for the week.  Unfortunately, much like the Lions, it may be a little too little too late as he is still 10 games back from the top spot.  Nothing is set in stone yet, and with one more week to go, anything could happen.

That said:
