Contest Name: WCSX Stimulus Package
Contest Dates: From March 10, 2008 through May 30, 2008,
weekdays only between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
How to Play:
Listen weekdays, excluding special programming, legal
holidays, and times of national or local crisis, from
March 10, 2008 through May 30, 2008 between the hours of
8am and 5pm. Each morning during the contest period, JJ
& Lynne will identify the artist of the day at
approximately 7:15 a.m. When a song by that artist, and
only that artist, is played in its entirety on WCSX
between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. during that same day, the 20th
caller to 313-298-WCSX (9279) will be able to spin the
recession wheel to win cash. The WCSX jock will tell the
winner what the cash amount is that they have won and
then ask if they are a WCSX “Workforce Member” (a
registered member of the WCSX loyal listener Database).
If the winner is a Workforce Member they will receive an
additional $94. If the winner cannot be verified as a
Workforce Member they will not receive the additional
$94.
Following the artist of the day announcement every
weekday morning, WCSX will also include the name of each
day’s artist of the day on its log-in page for members
of the “Workforce” loyal listener database at
www.wcsx.com. Register to become a member of the
Workforce at www.wcsx.com by clicking on “Join the
Workforce”. One WCSX Workforce application/membership
per person.
NOTE: Only songs by the specific artist of the day, when
played in their entirety from beginning to end, will be
used to solicit contest calls. Snippets of songs played
for advertising or promotional purposes and music beds
that contain music from the artist of the day WILL NOT
count. Listeners should try to be the 20th caller at
313-298-WCSX (9279) as soon as they hear a song by the
artist of the day begin to play. If a listener
accidentally calls when a song snippet or music bed is
played, s/he will simply be informed of the error.
Online listeners to the WCSX web stream may experience a
reception delay of up to one minute. Commercial filler
songs on the WCSX web stream are not included in the
Stimulus Package contest. Listening to the station’s
over-the-air broadcast is the best way to participate in
