Michigan Disability Rights Coalition
The Michigan Disability Rights Coalition has created ATXchange.org! Assertaive Technology exchange. Nearly two million Michigan residents have disabilities. Many require tools or equipment which are often expensive and sometimes hard to find to perform day to day activities. At the Michigan-based website, people can buy, sell, or give away assistive technology—everything from walkers, grab bars, and hospital beds, to power scooters, custom vans, Braille machines, and software that reads computer screens out loud. You can help connect people who need assistive technology with those who have used AT items they no longer want —free of charge, or at bargain prices. ATXchange.org is also useful for people who’ve lost a loved one and would like to donate or sell items—such as wheelchairs or power scooters—that are no longer needed.
