5 Classic Rock Dream Pairings For The New “Carpool Karaoke”

In case you didn’t hear, Late Late Show host James Corden struck a deal with Apple Music to develop his popular “Carpool Karaoke” segment into a series.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the first season will contain 16 episodes of unique pairings, including Corden with Will Smith (which is Corden only appearance on the series) and Metallica with comedian Billy Eichner.

This got us thinking about other pairings from the classic rock world we’d love to see drive around together and came up with these five dream pairings.  Agree?  Disagree?  Let us know in the comments, as well as your dream pairing suggestions!

Ozzy Osbourne & Jeff Lynne

Why put these two together?  Because we think it’d be entertaining to hear two different Birmingham, England accents: One you can understand and one you can’t.

Stevie Nicks & Don Henley

Obviously, these two have a personal history and collaborated on “Leather and Lace,” but we’d love to see them sing random Fleetwood Mac and Eagles songs together, too!

John Fogerty & Bruce Springsteen

Another pair that often collaborate live, but we’d love to see what Fogerty and The Boss would do in this setting.

Paul Rodgers & Robert Plant

Frankly, they’re two of rock’s best voices of all time that also still sound good to this day.  Not every singer’s voice still sounds as great after decades of performing.

John Mellencamp & Bob Seger

Two beloved mid-western singer-songwriters who are both in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  It would be cool to see these guys shoot the breeze let alone sing together.
