“I remember thinking when I heard the track for ‘Run to You’ – ‘cause it was a first take, that recording – and I put it in my car thing and I thought, ‘This sounds really good.’ To this day, I’m probably the proudest of that song, I think, because it was the first single off Reckless and I knew that it was going to get a great response. I had a feeling, because the last thing I had done was ‘Cuts Like a Knife’ and I thought it was in the same vain.”
