Led Zeppelin: “Misty Mountain Hop”

The Hook: A collaborative effort they came up with at Headley Grange, the rural house they rented to rehearse and record parts of their third through sixth albums.

Album: Led Zeppelin IV

Year: 1971

Writers: Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones

Stats: Never released as a single, but like most of the cuts on Led Zeppelin IV, it got plenty of FM rock radio airplay.
