There may be a variety of things that come to mind when you think of Kit Kat bars. For some, it may be the catchy commercial jingle. In Tokyo, Japan, they are stepping up their Kit Kat game.
According to Bustle, the country has released cake-stuffed Kit Kat bars. Currently, over 300 different flavors of the candy, it is fair to say that this candy is popular overseas.
CNN reports that the candy’s success is mainly due to the name’s direct translation. In Japanese “Kit Kat sounds very similar to ‘kito kato,’ which in Japanese means ‘to surely win.” Maybe it is believed that you will have good luck if you break off a piece of a Kit Kat bar. After all, there are a lot of flavors which means there is going to be a lot of luck!
Are you by chance heading to the country? You will only be able to try the combination at the Kit Kat Chocolatory, Ginza. Rocket News 24 states that “The Kit Kat Chocolatory Gateau Mignon has been created to mark the re-opening of the flagship Chocolatory store and cafe in Tokyo’s upmarket Ginza district.”
The news company continued to note that “the new chocolate is one of a number of treats that will be available for sale exclusively at this branch only.”
Wondering what this concoction could possibly taste like? Well, imagine the traditional Kit Kat wafer texture, but with a soft piece of chocolate cake place inside. The combination of writing the two words together is already making our mouths water.
