Legendary New York recording studio The Power Station was sold recently to Berklee College of Music with the deal to be finalized on September 1.

Per Variety, the studio is closed for now and is expected to receive a number of upgrades.  While most expect the famed studio to reopen in some form in the near future, nothing has yet to be confirmed.

From a sheer historical standpoint, we sure hope The Power Stations reopens.  Many artists have recorded/mixed albums there.  In fact, you likely own an album that was made at The Power Station.  Check out our list of 13 classic rock albums, and let us know in the comments which albums you own!
