Outrage Over Burgers

Emojis have been around for a long time, but recently there’s been an outcry for change as people are not happy with the Google version of the emojis for cheeseburger and beer.

The problem with the Google cheeseburger emoji is that the cheese is shown under the burger patty. That’s a problem. Nobody actually puts the cheese under their burger patty do they?

To be fair, the Apple version of the cheeseburger emoji is correct.

Google also messed up the beer emoji . It’s a half-full mug… with suds on top. As if, the suds are floating on thin air. That’s a fail.

Again, Apple has it right. Their beer emoji is a full mug with the suds appropriately floating on the brew. Nice. (Vice)
