They decided to try a new concept, and reached out to other musicians, took in their ideas and added to them. Those whom Blondie sought out for "Pollinator" include the Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi and Australian singer-songwriter Sia. The opener "Doom or Destiny" features Joan Jett on backing vocals.
