A guy on "The Price Is Right" had the whole crowd booing him yesterday, when he chose a $1,500 cash prize over a chance to win a new car. Drew Carey was basically begging him to change his mind.
The guy was playing "Let 'Em Roll," a game where you roll five dice and try to get them all to come up with a picture of a car on them. If you can do that in three rolls, you get the car. Each die has cars on three sides, and then money amounts on the other three . . . $500, $1,000, and $1,500.
The guy rolled four cars plus $1,500 on his first attempt. So with two rolls left, his chances of getting less than $1,500 would be one in nine . . . but his chances of getting a new car would be 75%.
