Christmas is all about giving and being kind to one another, but for these two Lincoln Park families that isn't the case...Two families on the same street in Lincoln Park were victims of a Real-life Grinch after having all of the Christmas decorations either broken or stolen.
Thieves took several pieces and destroyed the ones left behind. Glass candy canes, strings of lights and hanging light balls were stolen, as well as an inflatable Olaf.
Last year, the two families won an award from the city for having the best holiday decorations.
One of the home owners said "You want to feel that happy feeling at Christmas time and that's not it this year."
Both families say next year they may pass on putting lights and decorations out because of this incident..."It's not worth the money" they said.
The weekend after Thanksgiving is when most people start to decorate their home for the holidays. But for two families in Lincoln Park, their Christmas cheer has been short-lived.
