Flame Thrower Snow Removal
KOH PHANGAN, THAILAND - MARCH 7: A flame thrower puts on a show for party goers March 7, 2004 in Koh Phangan, Thailand at the monthly "Full Moon" party where thousands of foreigners and Thai citizens come to have an all-night beach party. The lucrative party will continue despite the efforts of the Thai government to shorten bar hours in Bangkok and all resort areas to 1:00am starting April 1. The government is targeting teenage drinking, drug use and youth crime. (Photo by Paula Bronstein/Getty Images)
One Virginia man got a little carried away when tasked with clearing his driveway after a recent snow storm.
Nathanael Caplinger decided to leave his shovel in the garage, and use his flamethrower to melt the snow instead.
Caplinger said he hates shoveling snow and after ad in a magazine about a blowtorch, which advertised its usefulness in clearing snow, he decided to try it out.
He bought one after researching the state and local laws and consulting with local officials.

Hey Itās Ryan, let me start off by sayingā¦YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jimās House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but donāt get me started on golf!
Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on āThe Ball Washer Podā right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on āBig Jimās House.ā
