"The Simpsons" predicted a US Curling Gold back in 2010. They even got the opponent right. In the episode, Homer and Marge form a curling team with Principal Skinner and his mother, and they defeat Sweden for the gold medal.

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona.
