Lazarus, the musical David Bowie was working on just before his death will be getting a film release. A film version of the London production of Lazarus, starring actor Michael C. Hall, will be screened in Brooklyn in May.
Bowie wrote the musical with Enda Walsh, finishing it just before his death in early 2016. It’s inspired by The Man Who Fell To Earth, the book that Bowie himself starred in a 1976 film version of.
The soundtrack features classic Bowie songs like “Life On Mars?” and “Changes” alongside newer songs, including the final three songs Bowie recorded.
