Joe Perry Got Some Famous Friends To Join Him In Atlantic City
Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry closed out a solo tour in Atlantic City on Saturday night with some pretty famous friends.
Perry was joined by fellow Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford, former Extreme vocalist Gary Cherone, and GN’R keyboardist Dizzy Reed for a set of Joe’s solo material – with a few Aerosmith hits like “Walk This Way” thrown in.
Even more famous pals appear on Perry’s new solo album “Sweetzerland Manifesto”, including Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander, singer David Johansen, and Ringo scion Zac Starkey, and actor Johnny Depp, who plays drums on a cover of the Barry McGuire song “Eve Of Destruction”.
Perry says Aerosmith is getting ready to mark the band’s 50th anniversary next year with a special tour.
