Bob Seger celebrates his birthday today (May 6th), and he, along with many other inductees of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, is among a list of performers whose induction was long overdue.
Seger was inducted as part of the Rock Hall’s 2004 induction class, even though he was eligible back in 1993 since his first single, “2 + 2 = ?,” from the then Bob Seger System was released in 1968.
His acceptance speech was as humble as Kid Rock’s speech inducting his fellow Michigander was pointed.
Regardless of your feelings on the Rock Hall, most of us, if not all, can agree Seger belongs there.
Happy birthday to the most beautiful loser in the world.
