U2’s San Jose Show Was Very Different
Maybe the band just got tired of playing the same songs for 30 plus years. When U2 rolled into San Jose’s SAP Center on Monday night, they skipped playing some of their biggest hits.
Left out of the set list were any songs from their critical acclaimed 1987 album The Joshua Tree, which includes “Where the Streets Have No Name,” “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” “With or Without You” and “Bullet the Blue Sky”.
The show instead focused on tracks from the band’s two most recent albums.
There was one “whoops” moment on stage according to San Francisco Gate writer Peter Hartlaub. Frontman Bono randomly shouted out “San Francisco!” to the crowd.
