GANSBAAI, SOUTH AFRICA - JULY 08: (EDITOR'S NOTE: THIS DIGITAL IMAGE HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO BLACK AND WHITE) A Great White Shark is seen in the Indian Ocean near the town of Gans Bay on July 8, 2010 in Gansbaai, South Africa. (Photo by Ryan Pierse/Getty Images)

A great white shark got beached while it was trying to catch seagulls in Cape Cod on Monday. And state officials HAD to save it, because it’s federally protected. So they tied a rope to its tail, pulled it into the water, and led it back out to sea. Luckily it didn’t BITE them during any of that.
