“We often shared a lot of things – in a band it’s kind of like you have each other to lean on. And the friendship would sorta keep up strong. And so the time we wrote ‘Separate Ways’ there was a lot of conflict in certain members’ lives with relationships and Steven and I just felt we should write about it and let it flow.”
