The city of Detroit is bursting with excitement over Ford's purchase and future plans for the Detroit Central Station that has stood empty for over 30 years....
Yesterday June. 19th marked a Historic day in Detroit as Ford held an event to share their plans for the old Central Station.
It will now be know as Ford's Corktown Campus and include office space for over 3,000 Ford employees, retail and restaurant areas for patrons and much more including housing.
Ultimately Ford wants to create a hub for an advanced automotive campus as it re-establishes itself in the city.
Big Jim and Ryan had a chance to tour the station during the event yesterday, here are some photos from the event and inside the station...

Big Jim also spoke to the man who will be taking on this 4 year project..Dave Dubensky is the CEO and Chairman for Ford Land about the process.
If you were not able to make to event on Tuesday don't worry, Ford will be opening up the station to the public this weekend for the first look inside in over 30 years...
You will have to register to reserve your spot on the tour and you can do that by going here... http://fordmcsopenhouse.splashthat.com
