George Ezra And Robert Plant Team Up To Save London’s Independent Venues
London is losing its small, independent rock clubs and a group of musicians are teaming up to try to save them.
Under pressure from property developers, rent hikes and noise complaints, many clubs, some which have been around for decades, are facing closings.
Singer George Ezra, along with Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant, and several radio DJs have partnered with London’s mayor to support grassroots venues.
Both Ezra and Plant spoke as they collected their Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards last week.
