Background:
Sometimes you just have to look out the window or watch TV to feel a certain vibe for a song. Foreigner’s Mick Jones says that in the case of “Cold as Ice,” it was a little of both.

“One of the first songs that was developed for the first album. I had this little mini-piano and I was in New York on Riverside Drive and it was snowing. I’d just seen some Joan Crawford movie, I think, and that was where the vibe came from for the song.”
