Gary Lee Weinrib, known professionally as Geddy Lee turns 65 today (July 29).  He began his music career when he was just 15 years old, joining his childhood friend's band - the band that would later become Rush. Although the guys had been playing together since 1968, Rush didn't release their self-titled debut album until 1974.

The song "Working Man" appeared on that Rush album but was never actually released as a single - probably due to its length. The band felt people could connect with it because it was always a fan favorite. In fact, it was a favorite in the bars they'd play at - and they played it a lot, for many years before it even got recorded.

In honor of Geddy Lee's birthday, here is the song Rush says "goes way, way back."
