Our favorite hometown rocker Bob Seger has a Mustang of his own! This beauty is a 1971 For Mustang Mach 1:
In an interview with Motortrend.com, he talks about his love for the classic muscle car.
Seger loves his 1971 Mustang, a 429 SCJ Super Cobra Jet. "I love listening to the big block," he says. "That's what I love about it. It's very comfortable. It's a hardtop, grabber green. It's totally unrestored; it's the way it was when it came out of the factory and it looks really good. I know the definitive Boss 9 or 429 is the '69-'70 but I prefer the '71. I can't remember the guy's name, but some Japanese designer designed it for Ford. And I just love the design. I think it's beautiful."
Tim Allen
Another celebrity son of Detroit Tim Allen, has also embraced the Mustang life. He's rumored to have a "$50,000 hyper-customized Mustang which does 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds, reaches the quarter mile in 12.4 sec. and can achieve a top speed of 184 mph."
Eminem
The third Detroit celebrity to have a Mustang, is Eminem, who purchased a 1999 For Mustang convertible with his first royalty check! Dubbed the "purple-pill" Mustang because of it's custom painted exterior, it was auctioned off in 2002.
