One man found out you don’t just have to follow traffic laws to pass a driver’s test it's also good to follow criminal laws as well...

A man didn’t get his shot to take his driver’s test Monday afternoon after he was arrested for having a gun, cash and drugs inside his mother’s car.

Reginald D. Wooding Jr. was waiting to take his driver test when the instructor began to smell pot in the car, the instructor contacted a state trooper working at the driving school who confirmed the strong smell of marijuana was coming from Wooding’s vehicle.

A probable cause search led to the recovery of almost one pound of marijuana, a scale, more than $15,000 in suspected drug-related money and a 9mm Glock handgun with a loaded 30-round magazine. Wooding was placed under arrest before he could take his driving test.

The story reminded us about the greatest marijuana traffic stop of all time!

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
