Rochester Factoids:
- Leader Dogs for the Blind was first established in Rochester in 1939. The foundation began in a small farm, they leased for $50 a month.
- Rochester was settled by the Graham family in 1817. The area was chosen for its forests and water resources and quickly became known for its mills including logging, paper and cider.
- Rochester is known for their Big Bright Light Show - Around Christmas time, the entire downtown is lit up by more than a MILLION lights from 5pm to midnight each night.
