Paul McCartney Reveals John Lennon’s Fear
Many of us worry about how we’ll be remembered after we’re gone and it turns out that John Lennon was no different, despite being one of the biggest rock stars on the planet.
Paul McCartney made this revelation Sunday night on 60 Minutes in a wide-ranging interview as part of the promotion for the former Beatle’s 18th solo album, Egypt Station.
Lennon approached his bandmate with his fear and McCartney assured him, “John listen to me, look at me. You’re going to be remembered as one of the greatest people.”
Sir Paul admitted his own self-doubt at times, saying, “I think if you care about what you’re doing, if you really want to get it right, then you’ve got to deal with insecurities.”
