Ford Motors – Documentary on Detroit

This is a celebratory film from Ford commemorating Detroit's 250th anniversary titled. Portrait of a City from 1962. It reenacts scenes from the city's history and presents a tour of its streets, parks, skyscrapers, factories, and waterfront. This is from a collection of short films in animation, education, documentaries, the arts, and experimental films. Many of these films are classic or vintage and are rare and difficult to find. They give an interesting look back at the days of the Cold War and earlier and how entertainment and education were different from today.
