It’s been 30 years since Poison released their biggest hit, “Every Rose Has Its Thorns”. And frontman Bret Michaels says it almost didn’t happen.
Michaels says there was “not a lot of love for the song” at first, because it was “so different sounding”. But he says the song ended up bringing in a “massive” amount of new fans due to its crossover Top 40 success.
And Michaels says 30 years later he still loves playing the song live and gets chills every time the crowd sings along.
