Livonia – CSX City of the Week
Congratulations to Livonia,
You’re the WCSX City of the Week!
Livonia Factoids
- The city of Livonia has an official tree… It’s the Almey Crab tree.
- Clyde and George Bentley owned the Livonia landmark, The Old Dutch Mill, until 1947. George Bentley was known as the “Turkey King of Michigan.” The first high school built in Livonia was named after George Bentley.
- The name “Livonia,” which is also the name of towns in New York and Pennsylvania, was probably named after a region of the Baltic Sea comprising present day Estonia and Latvia.
