Sammy Hagar Wants Montrose In The Hall Of Fame
Sammy Hagar is already in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of Van Halen, but he’d like to be a two-time inductee, so he’s leading the charge to get his former band in there as well.
Speaking to Cleveland’s WKYC, Hagar reveals he’s “on a campaign” to see Montrose get inducted one day.
“Because without Montrose, there would be no Van Halen, there wouldn’t have been Mötley Crüe, there wouldn’t have been Def Leppard,” says the former frontman.
Hagar feels that induction into the Rock Hall is “validation” that you’ve had a successful career.
