Bruce Dickinson Takes Swipe At Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Calling It A “Load Of Bollocks”
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame continues to leave many metal bands off the nomination list even if they are deserving. While some just take it in stride, Bruce Dickinson is not and he’s speaking out.
At their tour stop in Melbourne, Australia earlier this month, a fan asked the Iron Maiden front man his opinion on if his band deserves to be recognized.
Dickinson replied, “Yes,” and then went on a tirade against the Rock Hall saying, “I actually think the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is an utter and complete load of bollocks, to be honest with you. It’s run by a bunch of sanctimonious bloody Americans who wouldn’t know rock and roll if it hit them in the face. They need to stop taking Prozac and start drinking f***ing beer.”
Iron Maiden has been eligible for induction since 2004, and despite selling over 100 million records, has failed to get a nomination.
