Plymouth Factoids
- The Plymouth Ice Spectacular, the largest and oldest ice carving festival in North America. Founded in 1982, the weekend-long event draws around 500,000 people to Plymouth each year. The next Ice Spectacular takes place January 11-13th, 2019.
- Plymouth's "Art in the Park" is Michigan's second largest art fair. Bringing around 300,000 visitors each year, Plymouth Art in the Park, celebrated its 38th show this year.
- The first settlers to come to Plymouth, Michigan were Keziah and William Starkweather. They purchased 240 acres of land from the United States government in 1825, for $1.25 per acre.William and Keziah's home in Old Village (circa 1835) is located at 557 North Mill Street.
