What a good dog!

If you live in Berkley and are missing your puppy, you may want to take a look at this story...

Amie Lewis II, who runs a Howardwick,Texas dog rescue service called Chloe's Canines told the Free Press that one of her attendants came across a lost dog last week and brought the pup to her attention.

Lewis said the dog is a girl that appears to be between 11-13 years old, she was "doing OK" and found roaming the rest area.

The dog was found with a heart-shaped Get Me Home locator tag, with the numbers "19733899," but Lewis wrote that the tag hasn't been registered, so she couldn't locate the owner.

The only other clue is another tag stamped with the words, "Berkley, Michigan."

Lewis shared images of the stray pup to the "Michigan - Lost, Missing, Stolen or Found Pets" public group on Oct. 22, hoping to connect with the dog's owners.

Lewis said that she's called and emailed many veterinarians based in the Berkley area, but still hasn't found the pup's owners.

According to her post, the dog appeared well-cared for, but she is worried that the it had been stolen and dumped.

On Friday, Lewis said one of her attendants told her they found a dog bed, dog food and dog bowl at the rest area warehouse.

Anyone who recognizes this dog can find Lewis's post and reach out here.

"Must provide proof of ownership," she wrote. "...will get this baby a new home if owners cannot be located."

It is believed that the dog belongs to a local man as he daughter reached out via Facebook!

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
