Lions wide reciver Golden Tate has been traded to the Eagles...

Golden Tate is now an ex Lion. Tate was traded to the Eagles on Tuesday afternoon for a third round pick in the 2019 NFL draft.

Tate signed with the Lions in 2014 and instantly became one of the best yards after catch receiver in the league and Stafford's top target.

Tate is in the final year of the five-year contract he signed with the Lions, and by dealing him for a third-round pick Detroit essentially gets back the likely compensatory pick they would have netted had he left in free agency after the season.
