This may be the longest bathroom break of all time, but not one this lady was looking for!
Alison Gibson of Chesaning sat in the tub Oct. 15 and couldn't get up because a handrail was out of reach. She drank cold water from the tub faucet and used hot water to stay warm.
Alison Gibson was unable to reach the handrail to get out. “When I got down there, I couldn't get back up out. I was stuck and didn't know what to do,” she told Inside Edition. She battled hunger, darkness and the cold but she found a way to survive. Gibson had started to lose hope when a postal worker came to her rescue after five days.
