Report: Joe Perry Collapses After Performance, Rushed to Hospital

UPDATE 11/11/2018 1:30 PM EST:  Joe Perry is "awake, doing well" in the hospital after collapsing after a performance with Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden.

TMZ reports a source close to Perry said he was having lung congestion issues that have been affecting his breath the past few weeks.  Perry seems to be on the mend as the source also says he could be discharged from the hospital as early as this afternoon.

Reports have surfaced that Joe Perry collapsed after a performance last night (November 10) in New York City and was rushed to the hospital.

First reported by TMZ, Perry was making a guest appearance during Billy Joel’s Madison Square Garden residency show, where he performed “Walk This Way” with Joel.  After exiting the stage, Perry reportedly went back to his dressing room where he collapsed.  Paramedics were treating Perry on the scene for a period of time before he was taken to the hospital.

No statement or update from Perry’s camp has been released at this time.
