Wayne County LightFest’s Naughty Bear

It that time again! Time for Christmas lights in Metro Detroit but we’re going back to last year when Big Jim noticed something odd about the Polar Bear light up……

Christmas festive lights adorn a detached house in a suburban street in Melksham, December 8, 2012 in Melksham, England. The lights, a popular festive attraction, have returned to the town after a two-year absence and have raised thousands of pounds for charity for a local hospice, Dorothy House. The display, which is estimated to involve over 100,000 bulbs, worth over 30,000 GBP and even needed an up-rated electricity supply installed to cope with the additional power needed, is the brainchild of householder and electrician Alex Goodhind. This year, the display which Mr Goodhind began fifteen years ago now takes a team of professional electricians five weeks to complete, and even includes a snow machine. It that time again! Time for Christmas lights in Metro Detroit but we're going back to last year when Big Jim noticed something odd about the Polar Bear light up...

While taking a drive through the Wayne County LightFest last year, Big Jim noticed some awesome lights and some surprising things, like the Polar Bear who looks like he is giving everyone driving by the finger!

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
