Neil Young is playing with Bob Dylan next summer at London’s Hyde Park, but you weren’t supposed to know about it just yet. More so, the godfather of grunge isn’t very happy about some aspects of the show itself.
Posting on his website, Young says, “I had no idea the announcement was coming that day,” and that he was still making the final conditions of his performance at the gig “agreeable.”
Young is upset that Barclays is the sponsor, calling them out for being a “fossil fuel finding entity.”
Apologizing to his fans, Young adds, “We have been talking about requiring a different sponsor as one option. We are quite confident that nothing like this will ever happen again.”
