Something really cool will be flying through the night sky this week. No, not Santa - the Geminid Meteor Shower.

It's the biggest meteor shower of the year and it will peak on Thursday night, with more than 120 meteors an hour visible in the sky.

Even though the best time for viewing is after midnight, the Geminid will have plenty of meteors visible in the early evening hours for any junior astronomers who have school the next day.
