DETROIT, MI – FEBRUARY 24: The former Packard Plant is seen on February 24, 2013 in Detroit, Michigan. The city of Detroit has faced serious economic challenges in the past decade, with a shrinking population and tax base while trying to maintain essential services. A financial review team issued a finding on February 19 identifying the city as being under a ‘financial emergency.’ Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has 30 days from the report’s issuance to officially declare a financial emergency, which could result in the governor appointing an emergency financial manager to oversee Detroit’s municipal government. The pedestrian bridge over East Grand Boulevard at the old Packard Automotive Plant has collapsed and the photos are incredible...

Most of the Packard Plant is owned by Spanish-born developer Fernando Palazuelo, who is gradually moving forward with a site redevelopment plan, which may be harder after yesterday's pedestrian bridge collapse.

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
