Restaurant Nightmares
What’s the worst thing you’ve ever seen at a restaurant? We’ve all seen something disgusting, or crazy, or scarring . . . and people are sharing their best ones on Buzzfeed. Here are some of the highlights . . .
What’s the worst thing you’ve ever seen at a restaurant? Some of the best ones are two cooks getting into a fight where one bit a chunk out of the other’s ear . . . and a guy licking ketchup off his date’s toes.
1. “I saw a guy put ketchup on his fries, lick the top of the bottle, and put it back on the table.”
2. “I saw a member of the staff take a straw out of a half empty glass of orange juice, top it off with fresh orange juice, put a new straw into it, and serve it to a customer.”
3. “I worked at a restaurant and it had been really busy all day, [so] the cooks started arguing about who was working hardest. They eventually went outside . . . and started fighting. One bit a chunk out of both ears from the other guy.”
4. “Once I was in a fast food restaurant and this middle-aged, drunk man . . . got really upset, walked outside, then proceeded to [pee] on the front door.”
5. “A man hid a ring in a champagne glass. When he began to propose, everyone in the restaurant started clapping . . . [until] the girl was crying . . . [and] she whispered to him she’d been cheating on him with his brother.”
6. “I witnessed a man take off his date’s shoe, put her foot on the table, pour ketchup on her toes, and lick it off.”
A Subway worker in Ann Arbor went viral recently after a video shows her putting her bare feet on one of the counters…
Check out this video that shows the employee resting their feet on the counter that holds some of the ingredients.
Subway Business Development Agent Kip Klopfenstein released this statement:
The behavior in this photo is inconsistent with the high standards Subway franchise owners follow. Their top priorities include food safety and cleanliness and this is unacceptable. My team is working with the franchise owners.
Subway did respond to one concerned customer on Facebook promising to investigate. When WXYZ news arrived at the location Monday, the same worker was back on the job, slinging subs and denying something was ever a foot.
That’s not the only wild fast food story to hit the nation…The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident in which a Jacksonville man claims he was hit in the face with a box of chicken from KFC.
Ronald Jenkins was upset with an employee at the KFC because she did not appear to have gloves on while preparing food, so he began videoing the situation with his phone.
The video shows Jenkins at the drive-thru window waiting for his order when he and an employee exchanged words because he was recording the employee seen throwing the food out of the drive-thru window into Jenkins’ car, hitting him in the face.
When police arrived at the KFC, they identified the suspect as Shade Simmons, who was arrested for battery without injury using a special weapon, according to the report.
