Dearborn – CSX City of the Week
Congratulations to Dearborn,
You’re the WCSX City of the Week!
Dearborn factoids:
- Dearborn is home to the world headquarters of Ford Motor Company. Henry Ford built his Fair Lane Estate in Dearborn as well. It is also the home of Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum.
- Named after Henry Dearborn. Dearborn was a general in the American Revolution and the Secretary of War for President Thomas Jefferson.
- Dearborn was first settled by non-natives in the late 1700’s by French farmers in a series of ribbon farms. Ribbon farms are long thin plots of land (usually near rivers and trails).
- The Dearborn Historical Museum features two facilities of the original 1833 United States Government Arsenal along with farm equipment, buggies and historical homes. June 15th, 2019, the hosts of Tennessee Wraith Chasers are coming in to do a three hour evening investigation of the museum.
