Helping the Homeless During the Cold

As freezing temps continue to make their way into Michigan, groups from Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries are on a mission to rescue homeless people from the cold.

On Tuesday members drove around to help homeless people. They pick them up and take them to the Detroit Rescue Mission so they can shower, get food, a warm bed.

Rescue Mission members Michael Colbert and coworker Herbert Morris who have called the streets home are heading up this mission.

Colbert and Morris answered the call throughout the day.

The search continues to save lives.

If you see someone who needs a ride, LYFT is offering that too. Just use the code DTWJAYDEN19 and transportation to warming centers across Metro Detroit will be provided:

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona.
