A man who found himself trapped in a Portland-area Burger King restroom for an hour back in December had originally been offered free meals from the manager to compensate for his pain and suffering.

But when employees stopped honoring the deal a short while later, Curtis Brooner took them to court.

Well the King has settled, with the chain paying him out $9,026, which should cover the cost of one Whopper value meal each week for the next 22 years.

Brooner's lawyer, Michael Fuller, told Willamette Week, "Our long national nightmare is over," now that an agreement has been reached.
