Lindsey Buckingham was let go from Fleetwood Mac nearly a year ago, with the band replacing the longtime guitarist with two new touring members. Now back out on the road, the Rock Hall of Famers are not looking back.

Speaking to the New York Post before a pair of upcoming NYC area shows, Mick Fleetwood gave the paper a status update.

Citing his reasons for Buckingham’s dismissal, the drummer admits, “It just wasn’t a happy situation anymore, really for everyone.”

Fans at their shows might be treated to Buckingham era hits like “Don’t Stop” and “Go Your Own Way,” says Fleetwood, “But it wouldn’t be appropriate to be banging out, like, 20 songs of Lindsey’s.”
