When Selfies Go Wrong…

Everyone wants that perfect photo, even if it means taking on a jaguar to get it...

This may be one of the worst and dumbest decisions we have seen in a long time. Witnesses at the Wildlife World Zoo near Phoenix say a women tried to get a selfie with a Jaguar when it lashed out and attacked her.

She climbed over a barricade to get closer to the jaguar's enclosure when the animal reached out and swiped at her.  The woman suffered severe cuts to her arm and was bleeding heavily.

Footage shot by a witness showed the woman lying on the floor crying in pain as she nursed her injured arm.

Although there were fears the jaguar would be euthanized over the incident, the zoo's bosses confirmed on Twitter she would not be put down after the attack.

The victim contacted the zoo and wanted to speak to the owner. She came out on Sunday and met with the owner Mickey Ollson. She told him she loves the zoo and feels horrible about the bad publicity the zoo is getting regarding the incident...

Who remembers when a man jumped into the Chimp enclosure to save a chimp at the Detroit Zoo?

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
