  • Macomb was named after General Alexander Macomb, a highly decorated veteran of the War of 1812.
  • Danny DeKeyser of the Detroit Red Wings, was born in Macomb. In 2016, the Red Wings signed him to a six year, 30 million dollar deal.
  • Romeo Plank was originally made of wood planks.  It was one of the first toll roads in Michigan.
